Age Policy

Published policy status

We have not published a K’s Tavern-specific age policy covering entry, seating, minors after a certain hour, or family dining.

Our public dining information describes K’s Tavern as a Toronto neighbourhood tavern with a dining room, a walk-in bar, seasonal à la carte dining, and a five-course menu. It does not confirm whether children are admitted, whether minors must leave at a particular time, or whether any area is restricted to guests 19 and over.

We also do not currently identify a kids menu or designated family-friendly dining hours. Guests planning to dine with children should confirm the current policy with our team before visiting, especially for late reservations or bar seating.

Alcohol and identification

The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19.

Anyone who appears to be under 19 must have their age checked and verified before liquor is sold or served.

Guests ordering alcoholic beverages should be prepared to show valid, government-issued identification that is not expired and includes a photograph and date of birth.

Our service team may examine identification carefully and request a second piece of ID if age or identity is unclear. If acceptable identification is not available, alcohol service must be declined.

Identification requirements apply to the purchase or service of alcohol. They do not, by themselves, confirm whether a minor may enter or dine at K’s Tavern.

Dining and tavern hours context

Our website describes dining-room dinner service Tuesday through Sunday from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The Tavern bar and snacks service begins at 4:00 pm and runs late.

Because we have not published a separate minor-access cutoff, guests bringing anyone under 19 should confirm whether the planned seating area and time are permitted before booking.

The dining room supports seasonal à la carte dining and the five-course K’s Menu.

The Tavern is a walk-in setting for bar service, snacks, and drinks.

Age access may therefore depend on the area being used and the time of the visit, but we do not have a published rule confirming a different policy for the dining room, bar, patio, or late-night service.

What is not currently confirmed

We do not have published information confirming:

  • Whether children of any age may dine with an accompanying adult
  • Whether minors are permitted in the Tavern bar area
  • Whether guests under 19 must leave after 9:00 pm or another stated time
  • Whether a kids menu, child portions, highchairs, or other family-dining accommodations are available
  • Whether The Back Room has separate age requirements for private gatherings

Please verify these details before making plans that depend on child access or late-night seating.

Private event age requirements are handled separately from the general dining-room and Tavern policy.

Location

K’s Tavern is at 401 Adelaide St W, Toronto, Ontario.

We welcome questions about age access, identification, and seating arrangements before your visit so we can confirm the applicable policy for your party and reservation time.
